In 2023, we were the first in Lithuania to organise a cacao ceremony with 500 cups of cacao at the PREMA festival. At the YAGA Gathering, the cacao bar served for 4,000 of the festival visitors. We were also the first to test the idea of a mobile bar with non-alcoholic cacao cocktails and shots, and it was a complete blast for the 250 attendees of the electronic music party in the club! Cacao tasting can surprise both company employees and private party guests - we can find a unique solution for every event.
We want to spread a modern cacao culture, adapted to our era, to invite even more people to discover this magical drink and its benefits, in a fun and contemporary way.
CACAO CEREMONY
The classic cacao ceremony is a ritual in which ceremonial cacao is served. Cacao was considered a sacred plant with divine properties by ancient civilisations, such as the Aztecs and the Maya, and was often used in ritual ceremonies and festivals. Indigenous people also believed that cacao could enhance spiritual experiences. In fact, even today, cacao is considered a sacred drink by many South American tribes!
Taking part in a cacao ceremony can be a wonderful communal experience, ideal for events of all kinds. The communal aspect enhances the recreational meaning of cacao ceremonies by providing a space where people can connect, share and explore their spiritual world together.
Cacao is believed to have heart-opening qualities that promote love and compassion. The mild stimulant effect of theobromine in cacao can increase awareness and sensitivity to the environment and inner experiences.
"Kakavos Romanas“ team gives a contemporary twist to this classic cacao ceremony, with live music, percussion instruments and flat bells, and the atmosphere is that of a relaxed, non-committal party, where everyone will find their own place.
