How to prepare your first cup of cacao?
There are endless ways to make the perfect cup of cacao. You can start with this simple recipe and then let your creativity run wild. The human body has an intuitive sense of what it needs, so listen carefully and your body will be your best guide in choosing the right proportions.
YOU WILL NEED:
- 20-30g cacao
- 180ml hot water
- Sweetener (honey, brown sugar, maple syrup, etc.) and/or spices (cayenne pepper, cinnamon, vanilla, any other spices you like) to taste.
Heat the water in a kettle, chop the cacao, add the cacao and the spices of your choice to a bowl. Using a blender or hand mixer, whisk everything evenly. Pour into your favourite mug and enjoy the magic of cacao!
Useful tip: Do not use boiling water! Turn off the kettle before it boils and let the water cool for a minute before pouring on the cacao.
